Privacy policy

This explains what Seam stores about you and about the buyers you sell to, why, who else sees it, and how to control it. Illia Avraimov, trading as Illia Avraimov, Ireland, is responsible for your account data. Contact: hello@seam.codes.
Two roles
For your own account (your email, password, settings, plan) we decide why and how the data is used: we are the controller. For the buyers' details and conversations that Seam reads from your Vinted account, you decide why you hold them, and we only process them for you, to show them in the dashboard and carry out your rules: you are the controller and we are your processor. If you need a data processing agreement, ask us.

We never collect your Vinted password. The extension works inside your own signed-in Vinted tab.
Where it is kept
Your data is stored on our server in Oracle Cloud, UK South (London). The database and photo files are readable only by the account running Seam. We copy the database before each update and delete those copies after 30 days.
Who else processes data
- Image model provider. When you edit a photo, that one photo and an instruction are sent to OpenRouter and the model it routes to, which may be outside the European Economic Area. Only photos you choose to edit are sent, and never buyer details. Do not edit photos that show people.
- Hosting and email providers. We use a hosting provider for the server and, when email is added, an email provider to send sign-in and account messages.
- Payment provider. Added when paid plans open.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Buyer usernames and message text: removed once a conversation has not been in your inbox for the period you choose in Settings (30 days to 1 year, 90 by default). Any buyer name or address on a finished order is removed after the same period, and order totals stay for your accounting. Likes: 14 days.
- Working copies of photos and photo reviews: removed after 60 days.
- Alerts: 7 days. Sign-in sessions: 30 days.
- Waitlist entries: until you are invited and sign up, or 12 months at most. Write to us to be removed sooner.
- Everything else: until you delete your account (it asks for your password). That removes your data from the live service at once; the database copies described above expire within 30 days.
Cookies
Seam sets one cookie, to keep you signed in. It is needed for the service to work, and we use no advertising or analytics cookies.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export, restrict or delete your data, and to object to how we use it. Most of this you can do yourself: Settings, Privacy and data has "Export everything" and "Delete account". For anything else, write to hello@seam.codes. A buyer who wants their data removed should ask the seller they bought from; we will help the seller to act on it. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Seam is for adults. We do not knowingly keep data from anyone under 18.
Changes
When this policy changes materially we will update the version above and tell you in the dashboard or by email.
